Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to puripep.com and any purchase you make from PuriPep LLC (“PuriPep”, “we”, “us”), Carlsbad, California, United States. By placing an order you accept these Terms in full. If you do not accept them, do not order.

1. Research use only

Every product sold on this site is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and authorised professional research use. Our products are not drugs, medicinal products, dietary supplements, food additives, cosmetics, or medical devices. They are not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic use and are not for human or veterinary consumption or administration, in any form, by any route.

No statement on this site — including purity data, mechanism summaries and Learn articles — is a claim of clinical safety or efficacy, and nothing here is medical advice. You are solely responsible for the design, conduct, safety and legality of any work carried out with material purchased from us, and for the handling, storage and disposal of that material under the rules that apply to your facility.

2. Eligibility

By ordering, you represent and warrant that:

  • you are at least 21 years old and legally able to enter a contract;
  • you are a qualified researcher, or you are ordering on behalf of a laboratory, university, clinic or institution that is;
  • you are trained and equipped to handle research chemicals safely, and you will use the material only for lawful research purposes;
  • you will not resell, re-label, repackage or redistribute the material for human or animal use, and you will pass these restrictions on to anyone who handles it after you;
  • the purchase, import and possession of the ordered material is lawful at your delivery address.

We may decline, cancel or limit any order, and may require documentation of research status, at our sole discretion.

3. Accounts

Some pricing and ordering functionality is reserved for account holders. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your password confidential; everything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us immediately at hello@puripep.com if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms.

4. Orders, pricing and payment

An order is an offer to buy. The contract forms only when we accept the order and dispatch it; until then we may cancel and refund in full — for example where an item is out of stock, a price or description was published in error, or the order fails our compliance checks.

  • Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude shipping and any applicable taxes, which are shown before payment is taken.
  • Prices, promotions and discount codes may change at any time and are not applied retroactively to placed orders. Promotions cannot be combined unless stated; where two discounts could apply, the larger one applies.
  • Payment is processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card details. You warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method presented.
  • Quantities may be limited per order or per customer. Orders that appear to be for resale or for prohibited end use may be cancelled.

5. Shipping, title and risk

We ship within the United States only. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and we are not liable for carrier delays. Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery to the address you provided. Full terms are in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Returns and refunds

Research materials are temperature-sensitive and cannot be returned to stock once dispatched. Incorrect, defective and damaged-in-transit items are made good under our Returns & Refund Policy, which also forms part of these Terms.

7. Documentation and specifications

Each lot is released against our published specification and carries a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, available on request. Specifications, appearance and packaging may change between lots. Vial fill weights and purity figures are subject to the tolerances stated on the CoA for the lot you received.

8. Acceptable use of this site

You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its systems, interfere with its operation, scrape it at a rate that degrades service, or reuse our text, photography, CoA scans or brand marks without written permission. All site content is our property or that of our licensors.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Except for the lot specification stated on the applicable Certificate of Analysis, all products and site content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that any product is suitable for your particular experiment or protocol.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PuriPep is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost or spoiled experimental work, however caused. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to an order — whether in contract, tort, warranty or otherwise — will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PuriPep, its officers, employees and suppliers against any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use, handling, storage, transfer or disposal of material purchased from us, or from your breach of these Terms or of applicable law.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in San Diego County, California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and both parties consent to venue there.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the version in force is the one published here when your order is placed. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
